The Hellenic Police arrested a foreign national in Central Macedonia against whom a conviction was pending.
He had been sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment and a fine of 31,000 euros for drug trafficking, specifically purchasing, transporting, and possessing drugs on multiple occasions, illegal possession of weapons, and possession of a forged passport.
Authorities also confiscated a forged passport and a forged driving licence found in his possession, an offence for which a separate criminal case has been filed.
The arrested individual was handed over to the competent authorities.
