Based on the weekly epidemiological surveillance report of respiratory infections for the period December 22-28, 2025, which was published on Friday, January 2, by the National Public Health Organization, the number of people admitted to hospitals with influenza symptoms has been doubled.
A significant percentage of the cases are serious, and many of them concern unvaccinated patients.
EODY reiterated strong recommendation for:
-Flu vaccination,
-Immediate initiation of antiviral treatment in high-risk individuals,
-Implementation of protective measures.
